Periodontology - how do we treat periodontal disease?
In the event of periodontal problems, the initial stage entails determining:
- an individual treatment plan,
- professional teeth cleaning (scaling)
- and oral cavity hygiene instructions.
Subsequently the treatment depends on the type of problems and may be limited only to preventative procedures or may include surgery and further prosthetic treatment.
Periodontal inflammations are treated as chronic illnesses. Maintaining the achieved treatment results is only possible with close patient – surgeon cooperation.
